Rain, Rain Go Away!

Drizzle all day and then heavier rain along with fog…. But nothing was going to stop us from going to Dungarvan. We started along the coastal road which was gorgeous. At one point we saw a bunch of cars parked at a site so we parked on the road and walked back and there were lots of people heading down the cliff to the beach and diving in. Few had cold water suits on. It use to be a man only beach and they have the sign up just for historical purposes. Really enjoyed watching them swimming.

Then we moved on along the coast. It was lovely and just misty rain. We found a little village and stopped for a coffee and a sandwich. We headed for our destination. We went to Abbeyside and found the cemetery with his Queally family buried there. It was beautiful with a view of the sea. An old Abbey from 1200 something.

Driving into Dungarvan city center we were going to see if the Museum was open but it was not. The rain was getting heavier so we decided to head back to Passage East – took a different route which had easier driving for Denis. K

Denis took his nap and I checked email etc. About six we headed out to dinner once again. Went back to Jack Meade’s restaurant and pub. Got to meet more of the family there. Great people. The dinner was good and by the time we were driving home it was foggy and raining more. Not a pleasant drive in the dark.

Learned today about how much snow they had back home. 18 Inches in some areas and power outages. Not fun at this time of year. Won’t last long. Then I heard it was snowing in Scotland and wonder how the kids are doing over on Skye.

Tomorrow we are going to check on line to see what kind of activity we should pursue in Waterford. I think I would like to see the Crystal Museum and there are a couple of other museums that might be interesting.

Hopefully less rain tomorrow but even with rain we were continue to adventure.
